Outlook is the most used email client that helps in managing multiple email account from the same environment. It saves all his important data in PST file format. Before Office 365 it is the most trending email client but as the release of Office 365 Organizations have started using the Office 365 environment along with the old PST data. Now the question is how to migrate Old Outlook PST file to Office 365 user account? We have did a lot of research on that particular topic and have found one brilliant solution “MailsDaddy PST to Office 365Migration Tool” for performing the PST to Office 365 Migration. Just go through the blog and perform the mentioned steps for performing the PST to Office 365 Migration.

Why the trend is changing and Organizations are migrating to Office 365

The best reason is anywhere access; it allows user to access the data anywhere from Office 365 with having availability of internet. Also it helps in reducing the overall maintains cost. There are lots of other reasons due to which users are performing the migration in Office 365 cloud. So if you have decided to perform the migration then I would strongly recommend to use a suitable PST to Office 365 Migration Tool.

Is there any manual alternate way of performing the migration?

Yes the manual way of performing the migration requires the use of Azure Tool that is a command line solution of performing the migration. You must have good technical skills if you want to use the Azure Tool. Also it will consume lot of your precious time so I would recommend you to use the tool mentioned above. Although I am explaining the manual method you may use it if you comfortable.

Step 1: First to all you will need to Download Azure Tool.

Step 2: Share the PST file over network. That path will be used while uploading the PST on Office 365.

Step 3:   Get your Unique Key and Unique URL.

Step 4: Run the command in Azure Tool for performing the migration.

AzCopy.exe /source:\\SERVER\SHARE /dest:{your unique URL}/SERVER/SHARE /destkey:{your unique key} /S /V:C:\Logfile\importpst.log

Step 5: Create the Mapping File

The next step is creating the mapping file in CSV format with the details given below:

Workload: Enter Exchange in this column because we are migrating the PST to online Exchange

FilePath: Enter network path of PST file that was created earlier.

Name: Enter the Name of your PST file

Mailbox: Enter Email ID of the mailbox in which you want to import the PST file.

IsArchive: Enter True in it if you need to upload data in Primary Mailbox else enter False

TargetRootFolder: Enter folder name where you want to import the data. You can enter / if you need to migrate the data on the Root folder.

Step 6: Now text step is mapping the created PST file

Now enter the name of Job  . Upload the CSV file by clicking on + icon.

This way also you can import the PST to Office 365 account. As I said earlier don’t go with that method if you are not aware of Azure Commands and related stuff. So is better to Download and Use MailsDaddy PST to Office 365 Migration. Obviously this is not a free tool, you will have to spend some amount for performing the conversion with this method but the best part is that with it you can perform conversion in 2-3 clicks.

1- Download and launch the software on your PC
2- Open PST file do you want to import into Office 365 account.

3- Click on Export button and provide login details of Office 365 account. Rest of work will be done automatically by software.
