Genesys is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineer to work on an agile team focused on defining tools and promoting best practices that will enhance the development organizations DevOps CI/CD and testing capabilities for our PureConnect product.
The ideal candidate will be results-driven, self-motivated and a strong developer with a deep understanding of tools used in test automation, experience with the JavaScript, C# or Java programming languages, Powershell and ReST Web services. The position will require a thorough understanding of modern software development techniques and working in an agile team. The candidate must show the capacity to work in an enterprise software development environment, use source control tools effectively, coordinate with quality assurance, installation, documentation, localization and project management. To be effective the candidate must be self-motivated, work well both in a team environment and independently. Communication skills are critical.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Support our Development Operations and CI/CD pipeline by developing end-to-end solutions using PowerShell for installation, provisioning, configuration and testing of various products
- Develop tools using JavaScript, C# or Java that facilitate system provisioning and validation
- Develop scalable testing tools and automated testing solutions
- Design and implement solutions to problems using advance design techniques to increase testing tools maintainability
- Help improve the scope, reliability, speed in automated regression tests
- Identify product defects and work with development team to verify bug fixes
- Research and resolve product and environment configuration problems
- Work on a team employing agile strategies to meet delivery dates and other goals
- Ability to be thorough and detailed oriented in looking at all aspects of the solution including: localization, licensing, scalability, memory management, bandwidth, latency, automated testing, security and compliance
- Must be committed to continuous learning, experimenting, prototyping and applying cutting edge techniques, technologies, and software paradigms
- A demonstrated ability to generate great software design and great code, very quickly, with relatively few bugs
- A very fast learner with experience across several programming languages and technologies, with the ability to quickly become an expert on new technologies and approaches
Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering from a reputed Institute
- Solid concepts in Data Structures, Algorithms and Software Design
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and reasoning
- High degree of expertise in an object-oriented language (C++, C#, Java, JavaScript)
- Highly experienced with PowerShell
- Familiar with automation and tools: Selenium, Test Complete.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (Junit, Xunit, TestNG, Boost)
