Your team
Under the Wealth Management Function, the Portfolio Management team is responsible for the development and support of innovative solutions in the complex and fast changing domain of Discretionary Portfolio Management.
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with strong analytical/problem solving skills and interest in financial services to join our team of agile software developers and business analysts.
Your mission
- Development and maintenance of code on Avaloq’s core banking platform utilizing Avaloq development tools (training will be provided) and PL/SQL in an Oracle database
- Analysis of defects, functional changes and client project requests
- Improve quality of code via automated tests and code reviews
- Follow principles of agile development and strong team collaboration
- The team is involved in microservices development and will welcome your contributions there
What you need
- Science / Engineering, Mathematics, Economics / Finance background with strong interest and background in programming
- Practical knowledge of Software Development best practices, including unit testing, version control, continuous integration and design patterns
- Experience developing complex software solutions, ideally in relational database environment
- Ability to understand business requirements and to transform requirements into practical solutions
- Good communication skills required to collaborate closely and effectively with colleagues and customers in other countries
